Keranchut Beach

Located at the north-east of Penang Island along the Muka Head cape, it is one of six beaches in Penang National Park.

This relatively unknown place is normally frequent by locals who went there to explore the lush greenery of Penang National Park & to camp at the designated campsite near the beach. Lately, more & more foreign tourist starts to give this fantastic place, a stop over.
Perhaps, it is the charming & alluring beauty of Pantai Kerachut that makes' it, the best gateway to recuperate from the hectic city life. Therefore, we decided to make our way there before the start of our new semester.
There are 2 ways to get to the beach. First, is by hiking & the second is by boat. Taking a boat will be faster but we decided to hike up.

To me, the start was the only tiring part of this journey. It is much easier compared to 30 minutes up Bukit Jambul Hiking Trail. Various signboard are put up, leading you to Pantai Kerachut, Monkey Beach, Muka Head Lighthouse and some others beaches. The hike along the lush greenery and astounding beauty of Penang National Park took us 1.5 hours.

 article:
theres attractions include visiting the seasonal meromictic lake, visible for only six months of the year. The lake has two layers of water of different temperatures. The bottom layer of sea water is normally warmer than the surface fresh water. Warm saline water below and fresh water on top. The lake is just a short walking distance from the beach.

Jungle Tracking at Taman Negara Teluk Bahang, Penang

Lonely Planet review for Teluk Bahang Forest Reserve

As you descend towards the north coast you’ll pass the new dam and come upon the Teluk Bahang Forest Reserve. Several kilometres south of Teluk Bahang, it has gentle trails through the jungle, a few waterfall pools and a small, specialist Forestry Museum.

We are tracked this jungle about 2 hours before arrived at Pantai Keranchut

The Pearl of the Orient Island

I would like to choose The Pearl island to my short vacation because 'The Pearl Of the Orient' carries a natural beauty and cultural splendor like no other place. Its name comes from the Malay tranlation of betel nut_ 'Penang'. Every year, thousands of visitors come here to experience the unique cultural heritage and scenery. It is also a very cosmopolitan city, perhaps the second busiest in the country after Kuala Lumpur. The first place that in went was:

KEK LOK SI TEMPLE

Kek Lok Si, the largest buddhist temple in Southeast Asia began construction in 1890. Its 7-storey handcrafted "Pagoda of Ten Thousand Buddhas" was completed in 1930 followed by a 30.2 m bronze Kuan Yin statue in 2002.The temple lights up in remarkable fashion during Chinese New Year. Over and lanterns will illuminate Kek Lok si during this festive period.

Kek Lok si Temple at the night view.. Its feel like in Beijing,China.

If you come at this time, you will be rewarded with beautifully decorated bright colorful lanterns throughout the whole temple. And during those 2 weeks of the Chinese New Year the temple will be fully lighted up with decorations. It's almost like fairyland.

But  if you come on the day light..  It's very hot temperature.

Morning Glory on the Blessing wall.

LORONG KULIT @ ROPE WALK

This flea market also near to Rumah P.Ramlee.

Lorong Kulit is a flea Market. A market usual held outdoor, where's antique, esud household goods, and curious are sold. The Lorong Kulit flea market had its humble beginnings in late 1992 when the municipal council cleared out the secondhand goods dealers from Rope walk, located off Penang Road in the town centre, where they had been trading by the roadside since 1970's. Penang's flea market at Lorong Kulit has gained quite a hiphop reputation among Malaysian and tourist alike. Formerly at Rope Walk it is for now next to city stadium. Electric stuff, watches, shoes, second-hand goods, antique, well, try a good bargain. Dealers show their goods on a carpet on the street or stalls.

The flea market is open from 8am to 2pm every day, except when it rains. Sunday is the best day to go, because there are more stalls. but... it's also very busy.

Whats the surprise is here also sell Blackberry, Iphone, all type of Handphone and laptop.

The dam was officially opened 1985. Mengkuang dam is notably larger than the Air Itam dam with a storage capacity ten times grater. The massive dam is popular destination for sport and recreational activities. A homestay program (  Mengkuang Titi ) is available as well.

A haven for nature lovers, the dam features a well-landscaped garden with rubber, pinang and pine trees and some wildlife. Besides using the jogging tracks and walking trails, fitness buffs also hold regular sporting and recreational activities. The dam was recently host to the Penang International Dragon Boat Festival.
